Am I eligible to employ FDW?

Singapore citizens, Permanent Residents and expatriates with valid work passes are eligible to employ FDW subject to MOM approval.

I am a first time employer, what exactly the requirements are?

It is compulsory for first time employer to attend the orientation programme as set by the MOM. The orientation programme is an online training course for new employers of Domestic Workers in Singapore. A SingPass is required to be able to access the government training course. Here in Happy Home Agency, we can help you obtain SingPass and guide you to register and sit for the online course. There is a onetime charge of S$50 for the training course.

How much is the levy?

The current levy is $265 (normal) and $120 (concessionary). Employers are required to pay for FDW monthly levy to be maid via GIRO . The levy charges starts on the 5th day from the date of arrival. The FDW’s Work Permit (WP) will be cancelled should the employer fails to pay the levy.

Who can avail of the concessionary levy?

Singapore Citizen who meets conditions set by the MOM. A household who has a child below 12 years old or an elderly (Employer/Spouse/Parent/parent-in-law/grandparent/grandparent-in-law) aged 65 or above, all Singapore Citizens may apply for the low levy subject to MOM approval. A household who’s also living with a disabled person may also apply for levy concession.

What is the salary range for Filipino Domestic Workers?

FDW’s monthly salary is approximately S$500 depending on their capabilities and experience.

What if I want to change or terminate my domestic worker, how it will affects me?

With Happy Home Agency, you are entitled for 2 replacement maids within the 12 month period from the date helper were deployed with NO AGENCY FEE. However, we must conform to the replacement & refund policy as stated in the Service Agreement.
